custom non humanoid character set-up


We re wondering how to set up a non humanoid custom character.

In our case, it has no head. Eyes are in the body, so you could say body is the head and vice versa. We rigged up arms and legs.

Seeing the character you have in mind, I think mapping a humanoid rig to your character should map reasonably well since you do have humanoid arms and legs. Thomas's advice on weight painting is probably what you need to get it working and mapping the way you want.

Or...you can create an invisible character that works and just reposition all your visible parts to correspond to the character arms, legs, etc.
